  • The Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso (with Red Gems) is for sure the best native Friuli red grape. It’s probably also the best Refosco variety which came to us since the Romans used to grow it in Friuli more than 2000 years ago. 
    Ruby red coloured with violet glares, intense complex scent with notes of wild blackberry and grass and a bitterish after-taste, slightly tannic. Perfectly matches with meats and poultry. 
    Serve at 17-18°C (62-64°F).

  • Vinification techniques

    Grapes softly destemmed and crushed.
    Fermentation achieved by adding selected yeasts.
    Middle-term maceration (15 days).
    Fermentation temperature 25-26°C (77-79°F).
    Maturation in barriques for 24 months, ageing in glass.
